Client Work

We love helping a new client any time. Some current client work includes strategic planning, creative strategy, copy writing and marketing and sales support. New client work includes Texas ASCD, St. David’s Episcopal Day School, CommUnityCare and Philips Lifeline Senior Living Solutions.

Below is a sneak peak at just some of the ways Salas Public Relations helps its clients.  How can we help you?

Pikes Peak International Raceway (PPIR), Fountain, CO

When private investors purchased this famed Colorado raceway and former host venue to NASCAR, they selected Salas Public Relations to serve as agency of record.  The raceway had been shuttered for many years, and hope was nearly lost that it would ever come back.  The agency helped PPIR develop a new brand position, establish its messaging platform, design and develop its Web site and content to reflect its brand position, and now continues to support PPIR with strategic development and communication efforts.  The engines are roaring again at PPIR, and motorsports enthusiasts are racing to get there.

Austin LifeGuard (ALG), Austin, TX

Just when everyone thought sex was boring, Salas Public Relations helped this client pull off the covers and raise public awareness about teen sexual behaviors and abstinence.  Through a strategic branding process, the agency helped ALG position itself apart from the heated political debates over pro-life versus pro-choice, and positioned itself in the community as a credible fact-based curriculum provider of abstinence-based sex education.  The agency helped launch the positioning effort with the first local research of teens and parents of teens in Austin about their attitudes and behaviors toward teen sex.  The survey increased public awareness of the important topic, the local program, the new branded Web site and it opened the doors for conversation and collaboration.  What can be more sexy than that?

The Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, TX

Not long ago, Austin was a boring city for art lovers.  The Blanton Museum of Art was an unknown brand, even unto itself.  That’s when Salas Public Relations helped to develop a brand position for the museum before it opened the doors to its new facility on the campus of the University of Texas.  An aggressive media relations campaign helped tell the story of the soon-to-be largest university art museum in the country, and the third-largest museum in Texas, helping to increase awareness and financial support.  The brand development effort helped crystallize an image for the museum that is everything but boring.  Art is fun. Art is happening.  Art is sunshine. Art is attractive.  The Blanton Museum opened the eyes of Austin to see art as anything but boring.  The museum exceeded all anticipated attendance goals for the first year in its new facility, and The Blanton quickly became the must see art museum for Austin, for university students and scholars, and for Texas.  There’s nothing boring about good art and a good brand.

First Evangelical Free Church (FEFC), Austin, TX

Question everything.  That is the position Salas Public Relations took with this client that wanted to improve its own understanding of what kind of church it wanted to be in a market saturated with churches, but with only a small percentage of the population attending any Sunday worship.  The formal development of a brand position helped FEFC better understand its own identity in order to convey it well through its new Web site, every piece of print material and even in its architecture.  Salas Public Relations was named agency of record to develop the brand, to design and build the Web site and direct all communication efforts for a growing, dynamic church.  Today, FEFC represents a cornerstone congregation in southwest Austin, and its worship services and ministry programs attract people from Dripping Springs to Round Rock.  Through its online sermons, the church is reaching people around the globe.  Amen to that, brother!

Texas Business and Education Coalition (TBEC), Austin, TX

What could be more boring than high school math and taking the SAT?  Salas Public Relations       helped TBEC tackle enthusiasm for public education in Texas and rolled out an innovative campaign that encouraged students to graduate high school ready for the real world, and that garnered the support of the business community as public education champions.  The agency developed animation, print collateral in Spanish and English, Web support, logo redesign and creative presentation materials for business and classroom settings that gave students a voice and many compelling reasons to graduate as Texas Scholars.

The Pileus Group, Austin, TX

Think of the highest cloud structure that surmounts the highest thunderhead.  This is the pileus cloud.  Think of the highest value a company can achieve with the right investment and management team.  The Pileus Group, founded by three executive-level entrepreneurs, brings a new wealth of capital and insight to privately-owned firms.  The group relied on Salas Public Relations to help corral and package its collective strength and launch the Pileus brand with clarity and strength.  The agency developed the brand platform for Pileus, its graphics, messaging hierarchy, and its Web site design and content.  The sky’s the limit with a strong brand positioning strategy.

Imaginis Corp., Greenville, SC

Nowhere on the Web can you find a richer, more reliable source of information about women’s health and wellness than at www.imaginis.com.  The multiple award-winning Web site serves as a valuable resource for patients and their families, as well as for physicians, nurses, radiologists and educators.  Imaginis.com translates a wealth of complicated medical information into everyday language that gives women an accurate grip on their health and well-being.  And Salas Public Relations serves as the agency of record to spread the news that the right knowledge is a powerful source of aid for the growing population that relies on the Internet as a primary source for medical information.  Women, you can take flight.  Your wings are at Imaginis.com.

Texas Book Festival (TBF), Austin, TX

When former First Lady of Texas Laura Bush wanted to create a book festival to help raise awareness and support for Texas public libraries, a small band of people thought it was a good idea.  The good idea blossomed into a two-day annual festival that quickly became as big as Texas.  Growth generated enthusiasm, but also confusion about the organization’s purpose and future direction.  At 10 years old, the TBF tapped Salas Public Relations to lead its board through a formal branding and strategic planning process that helped transform the festival name into a brand that influences literacy and the exchange of ideas year-round.  Tip your Stetson to the Texas Book Festival for it’s continual creativity in bringing books to life for a whole new generation.
